∙ 8y agoIt sounds like he has something to hide, and doesn't want people to know you are calling him; so he uses a different number to hide the fact that he is talking to you (for example, if he has another girlfriend, she might look at his phone and ask what number he just called; so he waits till he can call privately, using a different phone). On the other hand, you didn't tell us which number of his you are calling-- if you call him at work, or at school, he might be busy and unable to talk, so he waits till he is home. Many people today still have two numbers-- a land line and a cell phone, or an office phone number and a home phone number. So, it might not mean there's anything to worry about-- but if it concerns you, you should absolutely ask him about it.
