It means you have irregular periods or a hormonal imbalance. There are several possibilities. If you're old enough it could be early menopause. Another possibility, remember that many hormones are fat soluable and if you're heavy it could be that your body stores enough of the hormones in fat that when you DO try to have your period you continue to release the hormone and nothing happens. Another possibility is that if you're too thin, the exact opposite could be going on, if you do not have enough body fat you will not be able to produce necessary hormones for normal periods. If none of the above seem possible to you, see your doctor since other possibilities will require medical attention.
