It's infected - you need to get some anti-biotics or something go see a pharmacist or a doctor
yes!! if the puss is yellow of green then its infected. the best thing to do is put some seasalt on it or go see the doctor.
if it is seeping a lot of white pus then that's not normal but if it is only a little bit then it is okay. You might have white/yellow fluids draining from your piercing and probably forming a crust. That's perfectly fine but pus is not.
not sure everyone acts different check this out at your doctor because you should not get pus from your tongue piercing it might mean that your tongue piercing has got infected because i have never got pus from my tongue piercing xoxo
If i have pus on my lip do i pop it or leave it
Absolutely not! Go see a doctor-that may be pus, but it SHOULD NOT be green. If there's any discharge at all, it should be clear or slightly yellow. Your piercing may be infected, or on its way there.
You get over it and face your fear. If you really want a lip piercing, which by the way, makes it difficult to get a job if you are young, then you will face your fears and get it done. The initial pain is only temporary and the healing pain lasts for weeks, it is a big decision. Putting holes in your body is an injury according to your body's defense system. You shouldn't fear the needle, you should fear the infection, the swelling, the soreness and the occasional pus that comes with the piercing. Just a note, pus should NEVER come out of a piercing. Pus is a sign of infection. You probably mean lymph fluid which is normal.
That just shows that it's healed nicely. However, of there is discharge or pus build up, then there may be a problem.
No it's not normal. Pus means infection.
Not exactly. If its really pus, you need to see a doctor because pus is an indication of infection. If you're not experiencing any swelling, itchiness, or redness in the area, it's just lymph. Once the piercing goes through it's initial healing phase, the lymph production will cut back a lot. Sea salt helps the piercing heal, so you should definitely use it.
Depending on the person and location of the piercing, it can take anywhere between 2 weeks to 6 months for a lip piercing to heal. After the first 2 weeks you can change the jewelry if no infection is present. Piercers use a 14 gauge needle when piercing, so you might want to down size to a 16 gauge. To test if your piercing is fully healed (this should only be done if there is no infection. Infections mean the wound is not healed), then try removing the jewelry for 5 minutes and put it back in. If you have no trouble putting the jewelry back in and the hole has not begun to close, then try leaving it out for 20 minutes. If the hole doesn't show signs of it closing, then gradually lengthen the time the jewelry is out. A fully healed lip piercing will stay pierced even after leaving the jewelry out for a few days. There will always be a small bit of discharge around your piercing. Healthy discharge will be white, not yellow or pus-like.
YES
the color of pus is kinda yellow, green, and sometimes reddish yellow. pus can change colors,so example if you have coming from a cut place on your body it might be reddish. but most likely it's yellow.
