A revolved section is made by revolving a cross section view 90° about an axis of revolution and superimposing the section view on the orthographic. A removed section is similar except the view is removed to another part of the drawing.

What is the difference between a revolved section and a removed section?

Revolved section shows only the features on the cut plane. It is used to depict the section ofan elongated object without the need to show the entire sectional view. Instead ofprojecting the section onto an adjacent view, the resulting section obtained from the cuttingis revolved 90° and is placed on the same viewwhile Removed section is similar to revolved section in that only the cut plane is shown. However, the section is placed elsewhere on the drawing

In the water analogy of an electric circuit what corresponds to the power supply the resistor and potential difference?

Power supply: Water pump, producing pressure at its output valve.Resistor: A section of pipe. Flow of water loses energy on the way through, due to friction with the pipe's interior wall.Potential difference: Difference in water pressure between the beginning and end of the pipe section.

What is the difference between an you beam and a beam?

An 'U' beam is a beam that is shaped like the letter 'U'. It is usually made of 3 parts; 2 sides and 1 bottom piece. A beam would normally refer to an 'I' beam (A beam that is shaped like the letter 'I'). The difference is that cross section of the beams are different.

What is the difference between resistance and the resistivity?

Resistance is the value of a given wire in ohm but resistivity is value of the material with which that wire is made in ohm meter. R = rho * L / A Here rho is resistivity and R is resistance. L is the length of the wire and A is area of cross section

What is difference center of shear and center of twist?

The shear center is the point on a beam cross section at which an applied shear force (lateral load or load parallel to the cross section) will produce bending but no twisting of the section. The center of twist is a point in a cross section that remains stationary when a twisting moment (torque) is applied on that cross section. The shear center and twist center are the same point only when the beam is rigidly supported.
