Winchester's of this caliber have more collectible value than the other calibers chambered for this model. Yours is also an early one, an 1899 vintage per your ser. no. based on most accepted publications though a search of the Winchester Museum records would probably indicate a post 1899 manufactured date. Whether it's a carbine or rifle is a big factor to it's value, but the major determining issue is condition AND configuration. You'll need to describe exactly how much of the original finish remains, on all the wooden & metal parts, any pitting or corrosion, chips or cracks in the wood and describe that as an approximate percentage, ie: approximately 50% of original finish remains and the wooden stocks have normal wear & tear bumps & dings but no cracks or chips or missing pieces. If you can email me pics of it with close ups of the rear, middle and front on both sides I can provide a very good estimate of value. In the year 1898.
The collector value can only be assessed by a visual inspection & evaluation. Old Winchesters are very much like old classic automobiles... the graded condition and factory originality are the key factors in determining what they are truly worth. Bert H.

About $600 unless in REALLY GOOD original condition with only light marks on the stock.
Value depends on condtion, how bad you want to sell it, how bad someone wants to buy it, what caliber it is, any accessories, the box, original papers, etc.. Range from 200-500 USD.
3855 is 385500%.
The value of a cup stamped Barbour SP Co 3855 depends on its condition. This cup in excellent condition is valued between 20.00 and 30.00 as of 2014.
There are 1609.344 metres in one mile. Therefore, rounded to two decimal places, 3855 metres is equal to 3855/1609.344 = 2.40 miles.
Your Winchester model 1894 was made in 1911.The value of these fine winchesters are getting up there.Depending on the overall original finish remaining on the gun,and if it has any special features(octagon barrel, special wood, takedown version, length of the magazine tube) it could be worth between 750-1900 dollars.I am confused that you say blackpowder in your description thou? While the cartridge was based on 55grs.of black powder.your rifle should be able to handle the smokeless version that is loaded today.I know of many rifles made during that time span that shoot modern loads made today.I would have a qualified gunsmith check the overall condition of your rifle for function and headspace, and ask if it will be able to handle todays modern loads which are kept low in pressure due to the rifles like yours that are out there.
