I suggest that you wait at least 2 months before diving in the dirt or grass. But to be safe, i put a cotton ball in my bellybutton then use pre-wrap or gauze wrap then secure it with medical tape. Don't worry too much about it. just clean it plenty and if you pull it to where it bleeds a little, don't take it out. just clean in. Unless you want to take it out.
