No, tongue rings are specifically designed for tongue piercings and are not suitable for an industrial piercing. An industrial piercing typically requires a long straight barbell that goes through two separate ear piercings. It is best to use jewelry that is specifically designed for an industrial piercing to ensure proper healing and comfort.
Well if you have an experienced body piercer doing a *traditional tongue piercing (*center line tongue piercing) there should be no issues and he/she knows what to look for. If you are getting any variation of tongue piercing which goes through the actual muscle structures of the tongue then you are on your own and your piercer has no idea what's under the tissue. The location of veins, arteries as well as nerve roots can vary from person to person. The risk is much higher than standard traditional tongue piercings. So be sure you really want this done and if so be prepared to accept the consequences of your request. A real professional body piercer will not venture into unknown territory without doing a large amount of research before hand. But it still comes down to you doing your research and checking out the piercer before you commit to a piercing.
Do you mean that the piercing hole itself has stretched? Its possible that you pulled the bar or played with it too much and it caused a tear but that seems unlikely for only having it for two days. Maybe it just seems like its stretched because the swelling has gone down a bit. Since i cant see it for myself and dont really understand what you mean by stretching, I suggest that you go and sow your piercer and have them help you out :)
It is not uncommon for the tongue to split slightly after it has been pierced due to swelling and trauma from the piercing process. It is important to follow proper aftercare instructions and consult with a piercer or healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
OKaii well for me it didnt hurt at all !!
Industrial for sure. Tongue piercings dont hurt that much at all.
It all depends on if you have a high or low tolerance for pain. If you can't stand pain, the piercing will be very high on a scale of 1 to 10.
Tongue piercings do not hurt much. Even a tongue web or double tonuge which seem to have a higher pain level, do not hurt too much. As ar as I 've experienced, an ear piercing hurts more than any other piercing. I am plannig to have a conch piercing and just read at site rightpiercing dot com that it hurts too much if I plan to have an inner and outer conch at the same time. Emily
Well now I have had it done, so I would say for anyone who wants to know, it didn't actually hurt at all, I psyc'd myself up so much and had heaps of adrenalin that it didn't hurt. Probably the same "pain" if any as a tongue piercing.
it doesn't really hurt unless you bite your tongue. Its more swollen than painful. Other that that just eat ice stuff and you'll be fine in a few days, i was
