I had a very similar thing happen years ago when I took Birth Control pills. Stress can also throw your cycle off. I suggest if you don't want to have a child you get another form of birth control. You need to keep a calendar of your cycle. Day one of that calendar is the first day of your period and if you have a 28 day cycle day 14 usually will begin your fertile days until about day 18. Sperm can live in the uterus 5 days so if you have unprotected sex on day 11 of your cycle you could get pregnant. If you are young it also takes a year or so for a period to settle into a cycle.
