I have been struggling with my weight for as long as I can remember. But a few months ago I devised a method to loose weight on my own which I later found out is called the calorie count. If I had never adopted such method and had just read about it, I would have surely said it was a scam and can never work but it worked for me and let me explain you how.
All men consume on average 2500 calories to sustain their bodies and do their daily work. Woman consume on average 2000 calories.
If for example a man eats a lot of food and consumes 3500 calories, and just carries on with his daily normal activities, his body would use up the 2500 calories required to sustain his body for daily work, but would add an extra 1000 calories. This stored energy is fat which adds up in our bodies.
Now remember that a guy's body burns 2500 calories every day to sustain itself. If a person consumes just 1500 calories of food, they would automatically burn 1000 calories.
Now imagine, if you burn 1000 calories every day, that is 7000 calories every week.
3500 calories = 1 pound, so with this method a guy can burn approx. 2 pounds a week.
You might say this sounds too simple and too perfect, but trust me, it really is. I used to burn 8 pounds a month easily and remember this is a safe weight loss and doubling this would not be a good idea. It wont be safe and might result is loose skin in overweight people.
Consuming less then 1200 calories is not recommended and 1500 is a safe bet. Going under or over 300 calories from this number is perfect.
Now most food comes with calorie counts on them so it is not a problem to follow them. Even if it is gravy or rice, you can make an approx. of the calorie intake. Taking a good approximation is a good idea to follow the calorie count.
Remember to weight just once every week, in the morning. This is a good method, and adding light exercise to this is a sure idea to help to look and feel good. But do remember!!!If you excersie a lot then it is much better than the calorie count method!
About 2500 is a good amount for ahealthy Adult
this depend greatly are a large number of factors on e for instance is age and gender 2500 calories a day is the recommended caloric intake for a moderatly active adult male

If you consume 2500 per day and use 2000, you will gain weight. To lose weight, you need to use more than you consume. Say consume only 1500 per day and use 2000 and you will lose weight. To cut back on calories is good but you must also exercise more, go for a 30 minute walk a day. Walk the dog. Take up a sport.

Any significant decrease in calories will lead to weight lost. If this 5' 2" woman eats say 2000-2500 hundred calories a day, then yes she will lose weight. Exercise is also a good way to help lose weight and make your body firm and toned.
