If your urine sits for a long period of time before taking the pregnancy test can it give you a false negative?

It would have to be pretty longto the point of destroying the hormones involved in the test..
It would be hard to believe you would get a false negative ...
Hormones are not a living thing they are a chemical composition and as such certain things can influence them such as adding things to the urine or extreme heat or cold possibly. It is unlikely that sitting for a while would cause them to deteriorate to a point of non detection by a test.. Of course I dont suggest testing week old urine but within a day should be fine..
Regardless when in doubt do it again with fresh urine or go to the doctor..
And you will know for sure in a couple months anyways
