I am a teenager and I actually do eat alot. But, I seem to be getting skinnier and skinnier. I used to be a size one about mid-year of 2011. Now, I am a size 00. Does this mean that I have a high metabolism?
I don't really want to see my family doctor, or go to the hospital to get this checked out because I am scared incase it is something else. Just thought I would get someone's point of view.

Yes there is. I have friends that have high metabolism and what it is is when your body burns fat very fast. People with high metabolism are very skinny and can eat as much as they want and not gain any weight. One of my friends will be eating at midnight and not gain weight.
Typically, exercise can affect how your body digests the food you ingest, or your metabolism. The metabolism aids the digestive function. Weight loss and weight control are a direct result of the metabolism. Moreover, people describe their metabolisms as either 'high' or 'low.' The two differ in that 'high' metabolisms refer to people who are able to manage their weight with more ease, whereas a person with a 'low' metabolism may find it easier to gain, or more difficult to lose weight. Exercise has been known to have a direct effect on the metabolism, 'kick starting' it, and increasing the chances of losing weight, or not gaining weight when eating less-than-healthy foods.
it depends on there metabolism level if someone has a low metabolism they burn weight slower so they gain it faster if you have a high metabolism like mine you burn weight faster thus less weight
I strongly believe that metabolism rate plays a vital role in our weight issues, basically metabolism determines the rate at which body converts food and drink into energy. Here there is a chance to get less weight loss with low metabolism rate when we compared that of high metabolism rate.
you probibly have a high metabolism. you may have a problem with your cortisol (sp) levels and you should have it checked by a doctor. (unless you excersize a lot then that could be it)
high metabolism or low-calorie diet accompanied by exercise - could also be a serious thyroid condition
food yea she eats food, she was only on a diet to gain weight cause her metabolism is high, except for after she had a baby then she did cardio but still eat whatever
Well its okay to have low metabolism when you have high metabolism it means that when you eat alot of junk food you wouldn't gain as much weight as you really would if you didnt have high metabolism. Hope this helped!
