It first of all depends if you are putting on weight, loosing weight, or maintaining your weight with the amount of food (and therefor Kcal) that you are currently consuming.

If you are maintaing your weight, or have decided to eat 700 calories less that what you burn (ie you are using your GDA Kcal guideline of approx 1940 for healthy women or 2500 for healthy men) then:

1 pound = 3500 Kcal

And let's assume that you burn 700 calories more than you consume per day

so 1 pound of body fat/700Kcal

= 3500/700

= 5 days

So it will take 5 days for any person to loose 1 pound of body fat, if they burn 700 Kcal more than they consume!
