................. You can purchase a handgun at the age of 18. The second amendment right says we have the right to bear arms, not that we have the right to rifles at 18 and handguns at 21. There is a law stating you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun from a DEALER! You can purchase a handgun 100% legally from a private party sell. ( Anyone that isn't selling the handgun from a business.)

Both of above CAN be correct. To purchase from a Dealer, Federal law requires you be 21. To purchase from a private party, SOME state laws require you to be 21, some require you to be at least 18- so it depends on where you live.
