im on a 1200 cal a day diet im on it 5 days and i lost 6 pound put i do go the gym too
One thousand calories a day is considered a starvation diet. No reputable doctor on Earth would ever recommend that you eat 1000 calories a day. The absolute minimum amount of calories a human needs per day is 1200.
Extreme dieting can also lead to anorexia and/or bulimia. Studies have been done, in which normal-weight people with no history of eating disorders were put on starvation or near-starvation diets (1000 to 1200 calories a day). Within weeks, these people would start developing body dysmorphia (thinking you're fat when you're not) and other eating-disorder symptoms (like cutting their food into teeny-tiny bites, or chewing each bite exactly 100 times). Something about starving messes up your brain.
Personally, I had an eating disorder for nearly a decade. And you know what? It all started with a 1000 calorie-a-day diet.
About 40 pounds but i wouldnt recommend eating 1000 calories it damages your organs in leads into death.

This is extremely dangerous. Please strive to eat at least 1000 calories a day. You will lose weight that way with proper exercise and plenty of water.
You can lose or gain weight. An eating disorder could be you don't eat at all or you eat too much, such as seeking food for comfort.
Losing weight is as much about how much you eat as what you eat. Steak has plenty of nutritional value, so some of it is just fine. But if you overeat you won't lose any weight, almost regardless of what you're eating.

There is no standard amount of weight that you will lose in a month. The amount lost will be determined by your eating and exercise habits.
