They are about the same, depending on the pistol. C02 has a tendency to be a little louder on certain pistols but not much difference.

What s the strongest bb gun?

There are BB guns and there are Pellet guns. BB guns are not as powerful as pellet guns. BB gun can only fire a .175 caliber BB at a maximum of around 500 FPS. Pellet guns can fire a .177 pellet over 1200 FPS. The most powerful class of Pellet guns and Rifles are PCP's (PreCharged Pneumatic) air guns. These require a special pump or Scuba tank to charge them to 3000 PSI and can fire up to a 50 Caliber slug. Capable of bringing down a full size deer. Pellet guns are much more accurate and powerful than BB guns. If you want a powerful BB gun then I suggest a multy pump BB rifle.

Are BBs or Pellets more accurate?

In general, BB guns are smoothbore, and the barrel is larger than the steel BB. Pellets guns are rifled, and fire a lead pellet that is a squeeze fit to the bore. This is MUCH more accurate than a BB. GOOD pellet guns are more accurate than firearms, within their usable range. I have one pellet rifle that will put pellet after pellet into the same hole in the target at 10 meters.

How loud is AK47?

not very much but a bit louder and has a thicker "BAM!" than the M4 (5.56) and guns with 7.62x51 nato are louder than AK-47.

Do pellet guns shot metal bullets or plastic?

Pellet guns shoot lead pellets. The advantage of a lead pellet is that it is heavy, and can be shaped into an aerodynamic cone shape that cuts through the air. They are also more responsive to the rifling inside the barrel and spin as they fly. Pellet guns are actually quite different (and much more accurate) than bb guns. You can actually kill small animals with a pellet gun so if you are looking for something that's more of a toy you might want to get an airsoft gun. Those shoot plastic bb's and are non-lethal.

Are BB guns and Pellet guns legal in Rhode Island with out a special permit or hunting license?

ya i geuss they pretty much let u do what u want

How do you find the best pellet gun?

You start by reading reviews. I suggest going to online reviews that people have written about the various guns they have purchased. You also need to select the type of airgun you want to purchase. Air you looking for a pellet gun or an air-soft pellet gun? How much can you afford? All these things will help you determine what you can purchase. Pellet guns cost as little as $20 and as much as $3,000 so do some homework and make a selection.

What is the killing range of a bb gun?

BB guns are not designed for hunting. They are only effective for dispatching rodents and small birds at close range (20 feet or less.) Pellet guns are more accurate and can be used on small game, some pellet guns can be used on larger game, but these fire a much larger caliber like .25, 357, 9mm, 45, or 50 caliber, and have a much longer kill range.

What is the difference between a pellet gun and a air rifle?

A pellet Gun and a Air gun are the same thing. A pellet rifle and an air rifle are the same thing. You are most likely referring to a Pellet gun/rifle verses an Airsoft gun/rifle. Pellet guns fire a metal projectile up to 1.500 FPS (Feet per Second) and are used for target practice or hunting. Airsoft guns are capable of firing a 6mm plastic projectile up to 500 FPS and are designed to be used in Combat play where people shoot at each other. Much like Paintball only with less force. That's where the term "SOFT" come from. Unfortunately "AirSoft guns" are often mistakenly referred to as "air guns" when they should be referred to as 'AirSoft guns". Airsoft is considered more as a toy where "pellet air guns" are the next closest thing to a firearm with less power. Airsoft guns/rifles all have red tips to let everyone know that they can be shot at another person. Pellet air guns/rifles look similar to a firearm (NO RED TIP) and are never used in team play where people shoot at each other.

Strongest bb gun?

The strongest BB guns are not really that strong. They shoot a .177 Cal BB at about 450 to 500 Feet Per Second (FPS) at their best. Pellet guns and Rifles are much stronger and travel much faster. The can be fired up to and over 1200 FPS. The Big Dogs of Pellet rifles are in the class of PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic guns ) they require as scuba tank to charge the rifle or gun and can fire a 9MM, 45 Cal or a 50 Cal Pellet capable of taking down a moose. BB Guns traditionally use a smooth bore barrel which makes them not that accurate where as Pellet rifles use a rifled bore barrel that makes the pellet spin as it leaves the barrel making it more accurate than a BB rifle.

Why are pellet pistols more powerful than BB guns?

A classic BB gun is spring powered. A pellet gun is powered by a CO2 cartridge, and develops much higher velocity. The above answer is partially correct but there are other factors that make pellet guns more powerful. BB guns come in Spring power but they also come in C02 and pump power plants. Pellet guns come in spring, pump, C02 and PCP power plants. "BB only guns" use a smooth bore barrel much like a straw. This type of system allows the BB to tumble as it leaves the barrel. The BB itself is round and it really does not spin as it flies through the air. This make BBs not as accurate as pellets. Pellets have a skirt at the rear of the pellet, this soft skirt catches the air from the firing source it also catches the grooves in the barrel (Rifled barrels.) The grooves in the barrel cause the pellet to spin as it leaves the barrel. This action helps the pellet fly straighter. The air that is caught in the rear of the pellet drives the pallet faster as it leaves the barrel.. Pellet also come in different weights. Heavier pellets fly slower but fly straighter than lighter pellets. Lighter pellets are more effected by crosswind. BBs do not come in different weights or not enough difference to have any effect on the outcome. The ultimate pellet guns are PCP (PreCharged Pneumatic) air guns. These airguns use a special hand pump or Scuba tank to charge them to 3000 PSI and are capable of firing a 50 caliber pellet at 900 Feet per Second

What is the difference between a pellet gun and a bb gun?

Both a pellet gun and a BB gun are similar in appearance But here is the main difference. Most BB guns have a smooth bore barrel. The BB just tumbles as it flies through the air. BB guns are not very accurate. The BB also doesn't deform when it hit the target. It's a very poor choice for hunting small game. However they are fun and inexpensive to shoot. Most will not attain a speed of much more than 400 feet per second (FPS.) Pellet guns use several different shape pellets. Some are for target shooting some are for hunting and other uses. Pellet guns usually have a rifled barrel (One with grooves in it.) This causes the pellet to spin as it travels to the target. This spinning make it more accurate just like a real bullet. The pellet is made of a softer material than BB's and when they strike the target they deform causing more damage to the target. They are ideal for hunting small game like rodents and birds. Pellet guns can attain a speed of over 600 FPS and pellet rifles can reach speeds of over 1,200 FPS. BB are .175 or .177 Caliber. Pellets come in .177, .20, .22, .25, 9mm, 45 Cal and 50 Cal. The last 3 LARGE calibers are used the PCP guns and Rifles (PreCharged Pneumatic air guns) They are capable of bringing down a moose. However PCP guns and rifles are very expensive. Pellet guns are less expensive and BB guns are the least expensive. Now don't confuse BB Air guns with Air Soft guns. They both shoot BB's but air guns shoot steel BB that are small and Air soft guns shoot plastic 6mm BB's. Air soft guns are considered toys while air guns are not. An Air gun is a gun so handle it with safety in mind. == ==
