BB guns are not designed for hunting. They are only effective for dispatching rodents and small birds at close range (20 feet or less.) Pellet guns are more accurate and can be used on small game, some pellet guns can be used on larger game, but these fire a much larger caliber like .25, 357, 9mm, 45, or 50 caliber, and have a much longer kill range.
