To lose weight you need to take in less calories than you burn up. So first you must

figure out how many calories you are consuming. Once you have that number then

you can calculate how much you need to do to burn those calories off. For instance

you will loss about 100 calories per mile you run, so if you run 1 mile and then drink

a can of Coke when you get back, you will actually gain weight because a can of coke

have about 140 calories and you only burned up 100. It can be done but you have to

watch and track everything you eat and drink in a notebook. Weigh yourself at the same

time each day. If you don't you will find you can very up to 4 pounds in a single day

depending on whether you are fully hydrated or not. Good luck.
