Don't panic when ink seems to be flaking off in the scab- this is part of the healing process, and does not affect your tattoo most of the time. It is really important to not pick at the scabbing as your tattoo heals, this can distort the tattoo, and will require touch-ups. Gently apply a scant amount of scent free moisturizer once or twice a day. When you shower, pat dry your tattoo. Scabbing should be almost completely done in 5-7 days, but sometimes you'll still find scabbed tissue- again, don't pick at it, just let it fall off naturally.
