It depends on how much you smoke, and how often. As for how long you "look difrent", it's usually only while you are under the effect of what you smoked, unless you smoke allot (or often) then the look can last till the next day.

Marijuana makes you look like you are (if you smoked a good serving) tiered, almost flu-like or mildly hung over. The best known visible effect is bloodshot eyes, but pot smokers can totally mask this using eyedrops.

While high, short term memory is visibly effected, leading to the 2 most common stoner frases "what was I talking about ?" and "what am I looking for again ?"

If a person smokes allot and often, this can lead to dark bags or rings under the eyes.
