All piercings need to be cleaned daily, even once they are healed, matter can build up in the piercing and turn causing and infection. Cleaning is not rocket science, a good mild liquid antibacterial soap lathered and applied, then rinsed off with warm running water ( I suggest the shower is a good place to do this ) done daily to all your piercings. An infected piercing properly cleaned in this manner will turn around in about 24 ~ 48 hours. You don't need "healing or cleaning agents" H2Ocean, Dragon Mist, BioSeptic, Bactine, Polysporin, Neosporin or pierced ears solution these agents are misused or over used and in them selves can cause issues with piercings. When selecting an antibacterial soap avoid liquid Dial or any over perfumed or colored soaps, I recommend antibacterial "Soft Soap Aquarium" liquid anti bacterial soap, it's low in perfume, color and works very well if used correctly. That's a pea sized amount lathered and diluted with a little water, applied and rinsed thoroughly with warm water while moving the jewellery to rinse out the piercing.
If one side of your lip is infected then the other but it should not be a problem,
If it is pussing or it hurts to the touch after healing. See also swollen.
Extreme swelling, discharge of green puss, pain, warm to the touch.
I would assume so. The metal that is in a lip ring is designed to be in your skin, as a staple is made of inferior metals. That's why you're not supposed to pierce with Safety pins. They aren't safe to remain in your body. Don't do it. Spend the $10 and get a lip ring.
Go to the Doctor 1. clean it, take it out and clean the bar, the ball and your lip with salt water or the cleaning stuff the shop gave you if you got given any. 2. Take it out because it could be infected 3. go to the Doctor.
Take it off slowly If not get lost
You can take Tylenol if you follow the instructions on the bottle and don't take more than it says. If you take more than recommended, you can damage your liver. But if you have an infection, you need an antibiotic from a doctor.
If it's growing over the back of the labret, you should either take it out and replace it with a bigger backing, or you put in a ring. All your lip is doing is trying to heal your lip. NOTE! If it's red on the outside and puffy, it's more than likely infected.
take the navel ring out immediately
6~8 weeks
It is always best to get a ring. Rings allow room for swelling, while bars do not. If your piercing has no room to swell, it could become infected.
