The idea behind this is to eat 6 small meals a day, at regualr intervals (about every 2 to 3 hours, or so). By doing this, your body maintains a steady blood sugar level and metabolism level. You do not have that "crash" after a "food high". To lose weight, though, you will need to make these 6 small meals / snacks relatively low-calorie (between 200 and 300 calories EACH), and continue to exercise.
