The answer is YES, YES, YES!!!! But we should answer this question in two parts.
1. The brand new tattoo: The healing of a new tattoo is very dependent on keeping it out of direct sun light for at least three [3] weeks....Sun damage to a new tattoo will bleach out the color and make the tattoo take forever to heal.....The professional artist can usually tell when this has happened....
2. The healed tattoo: The color of your bright and shiny new, but freshly healed tattoo will stay brighter and last longer depending on how much sun you get over the years...When you get enough ink on you to buy a good used car with what you have invested in it, you will probably start to believe that Ol. Mr. Sun isn't the good buddy you used to think he was....After several years of deep tanning the ultra violet rays of the sun will cause your color to break down and fade...So use common sense, use a real good spf tanning cream over your tattoo work......
And remember, tanning beds use ultra violet rays and they are not weakened by traveling hundreds of thousands of miles thru space....So don't think it will not harm your tattoos, new or old.....Hope this helps...
Depends on when you go the tattoo. It takes 6 months for a tattoo to heal believe it or not, and within that healing period DO NOT TAN! It is really bad for the tattoo. It could cause fading, ghosting and color leaks. After your tattoo is all healed just double check with a tattoo artist to make sure its all healed, healing times vary by how well your skin accepts the ink. Then you can go tanning, but I suggest you use a special tanning lotion to help prevent fading of the tattoo. If you want your tattoo be remain vibrant longer I suggest you don't go tanning at all.
You really shouldn't tan at all if you have tattoos because it will make your colors fade really quick, but if you insist, I would wait at least two weeks after getting anything done, and make sure you cover the tattoo with high spf sunblock.
undoubtedly yes. The same is true for tanning on a regular basis.
Tattoos are placed in the dermis. Scratches are much shallower, on the epidermis.
If a tattoo fades fast, generally it means the tattoo artist didnt apply the ink deep enough (epidermis layer or 2.2mm). It can also happen when not using good quality tattoo ink.
the sun fades it, so does tanning bed and clorine water. also if you dont take care of it, you have to treat it as an open wound.
There really is no tanning bed safe tattoo. To prevent your tattoo from fading, put sunscreen on it generously.
yes
causes the colors in the tattoo to fade
uuummm....it's a tattoo. yes. (not necessarily) a tattoo that doesn't have the highest quality of ink can fade and as you age tattoos fade its just the way your skin is.
yes, for sure.

"Tattoo removal creams can only do so much, the most they can do is fade the tattoo to make it less visible. If you are looking for a permanent tattoo removal then contact your dermatologist."I'd say no. It'd probably just fade the tattoo at the most.
Even with laser removal a tattoo doesn't tend to completely disappear, it only fades. Sunlight, tanning beds, chlorine water and tattoo removal creams can fade the tattoos. However, home remedies that are suggested, often including salt, are not considered safe and can cause a lot of damage to your skin.
mine did!
you ask a tattoo artist and sometimes they fade away
