Most Industrials are generally done with your choice of either a 16 gauge or a 14 gauge.
No they only pierce ears
1.) i have 5 peircings and have a high tolerance to pain and i just got mine done & im not going to lie this piercing hurt out of all of mine. And each hole gets pierced seperatly. OUCH2.)^^ Hi; I have my nose; 7 along the ear piercings; and my industrial pierced. I am going to say that my industrial hurt the most out of all of them. On a scale from one to ten; for me it was about a six. But only for a few seconds; trust me its absolutely bearable pain. After you get it done it will be swollen for a week or too; just remember to keep cleaning it when you do get it done. But everyone varies in pain, iI really enjoy mine; good luck.An ear piercing is any piercing in the ear. The most common, and most culturally accepted ear piercing, is the lobe (the bottom part of the ear that consists of mostly tissue).
What I do is that I get petroleum jelly and out it on the holes where the piercing was pierced, in order for the jewelry to slide in painlessly. Get one end of the jewelry and slide it through both holes, then tighten the ball.
First off lets see if we are talking about the same piercing....An industrail, and this miss spelling is on purpose, is thru the front cartilag near the top of the ear, and thru the back cartilage with a long barbell....If done right the rest of the inside of the ear will not be pressing against the barbell. What does it represent??? Nada, that I know of......Dont read too much into all the symbolism hype. Anybody might wear such a piercing and for every one who does, they probably have a different story or reason behind it.......TatuBaron

It depends on where you had it done, usually they are done at 14g but may be 16g.
No your industrial shouldn't be hurting unless you bang it or snag it in the course of doing something else. I don't know where you got the piercing done or what you are using for cleaning it and how often. So I will point you to the related links and see if you can find the answer yourself.
Mine was done with a 16g needle (:
Generally it's 10mm by 18g and the piercing is done with a 16g needle.
Done wrong, a piercing can definitely cause paralysis on the face... whether the piercing is ear, tongue, nose, etc.
The major risks of an industrial piercing include ear deformation, migration and even rejection. If it is not properly taken care of it can move, and be very painful. Someone very experienced should preform this piercing, as if it is not done properly, the risk grows higher.
No, not a chance. Industrial piercings are not simple and they have to be done by a professional body piercer with a sterile, hollow needle. If I'm being completely honest, no piercing should be done at Claires or any other place in which they use a gun. Theyre very unsanitary and the mechanism of the piercing can be harmful. If you want any kind of piercing, even if it's just lobes, I suggest going to a professional piercer.
Depending on the place where you get it done & the standard jewellery they have. It's usually a 14g or a 16g.
Consider a Helix Crus / Daith piercing or you may want to consider an Antitragus piercing to compliment the rook piercing.
Well 18g and 16g are neighbours in the gauge world, 14g is the next largest gauge from 16g so you would just be stretching the piercing up to 14g. All stretching should be done with proper tapers and ultimately done by a professional body piercer to ensure the piercing isn't torn in the process.
