Once lips have been pierced the ability to swim is completely removed from the human knowledge bank and you sink like a rock. Ok I just had to get that out of my system, now can you swim after having the piercings done..... Yes you can municipal pools and the like are tested and inspected daily to ensure there is no "nasty stuff" in the water. So swim to your hearts content, once you are done you just need to remember to flush the piercing with lots of warm water in the shower to rinse anything out of the piercings. Do that and you should be good to go. Happy Piercings!

∙ 12y agoAt least 2 months. You can go swimming as long as you don't get the piercing wet. Bodies of water are FILLED with germs that can infect a piercing.
