It certainly can if you are present when marijuana is smoked, just as you get second-hand smoke if people smoke tobacco in the same room as you. You won't get very much, unless you live amongst lots of pot users; even then you probably won't get enough to fail a drug test.

Yes you can get THC in your system by being in the same room where its being smoked its called passive smoking

Walking around a marijuana plant won't get any into you. Breathing second-hand smoke will only provide trace amounts, not usually enough to get high or fail a test.
