the lock with a circle around it is orientation lock
There was an update for the ipod touch about 7 months ago and it allowed you to change the background on your ipod and you can also change the lock screen
your iPod probably has a lock with a circle on the top bar next to the battery icon (if it is jailbroken or is an iPod 4g). If so, double click the home button and scroll to the music dock and press the button on the left. (screen rotation lock)
change your auto-lock settings of your iPad to Never. This will not lock/timeout your device.
You click the bar that says "Apple iPod" which will show you it's ammount filled in a guage. Right click the bar or double click it and then rename it.
You can lock your iPod Touch by simply pressing the long slim button (the "sleep/wake" button) at the top of the iPod. This will shut your screen off. If the sleep/wake or home buttons are pressed, you will see a screen with a lock symbol on the top bar. Slide the bar and enter your passcode if required to unlock.
you need to know the actual passcode... settings/general/passcode lock
No, you cannot. For that to be possible, your ipod would have to be connected to the internet, which only occurs when your iPod is connected to your computer. Unfortunatly, the iPod now belongs to the thief.
It means your iPod is locked. This just means that when it's in your pocket/bag etc, the buttons won't work and so it won't change song or adjust the volume accidentally. You can lock/unlock your iPod using the switch at the top.
The only way you could lock a iPod 4g or eny kind of iPod. Is to jailbreak it in redsn0w or in greenpois0n
To lock your ipod so only people who know your pass code can get in to it.
well, then dont get an ipod
