Androgynous individuals are those who have both male and female traits. Most people are to some extent androgynous since the ascribing of various traits to men and women is rather arbitrary. For example, many men like to cook but this is considered a female preference, even though many of the great chefs of the world are men. Certain ways of dressing and walking are labelled as male or female. Men who wear makeup are considered androgynous for example, but they may or may not be gay any more than women who wear pants instead of skirts are gay.
