If your baby has a strong heartbeat he is likely fine. You just aren't as far along as you thought.
I never heard of placenta sounds?? You should be able to hear your baby's heartbeat by week 11-12 the latest.
8 weeks or 12 weeks? If at 8 weeks it's possible that your really aren't 8 weeks yet and the heart beat isn't showing up... at 12 weeks.. if there is no heart beat there is a HUGE problem. I wouldn't worry if they're trying with the Doppler on the outside but if it's on the ultrasound... no heartbeat means no baby, at 12 weeks.
I'm no doctor but i would say absolutely not!! It can be still to soon. I didnt hear my sons heartbeat until i was almost 12 weeks since it was very faint. I was told because of position, etc that it couldve distorted it. Dont jump and do anything be patient and let nature do its course. I think she will be fine. Best wishes
With a doctors "listener" it can be heard. I wouldn't say loud and clear, but it's possible it could be loud and clear, depends on the woman and the baby.AnswerYes I heard my babys heartbeat at 9 weeks pregnant with a at home fetal monitor. AnswerA vaginal ultra sound can detect a heartbeat as soon as 6 weeks gestation but more commonly at 7-8 weeks. The fetal Doppler used on the outside of your belly should pick up a heartbeat at 12 weeks clearly. AnswerA fetal heartbeat can be heard as early as 8-10 weeks pregnant using a good fetal Doppler such as one rented from Tummy Tickles or a company like that. AnswerYes it can be heard. I had an ultrasound at 7 weeks and heart it perfectly and then again at 9 weeks on a Doppler in the doctors office.
No, I am pregnant with my third child and I didn't hear this ones heartbeat until I was about 10-11 weeks along, but with my other to I was much earlier. My midwife has said not to be worried until after about 12 weeks
absolutly! 8 weeks pregnant is still very early to detect a heart beat. I believe when I was pregnant mine was checked at around 10-12 weeks...even then it was hard to find because the fetus is so small. My Dr. also didn't have an ultrasound done she was using a small device called a doppler.
Are you using one at home? If so, they don't always pick up the heartbeat as well as the ones at the doctor's. My OB/GYN told not to use one because they aren't always very reliable and I would just get worried over nothing if I didn't hear the heartbeat.
When the gestational age of an embryo is 12 weeks, then you are considered 14 weeks pregnant. The first 2 weeks of pregnancy is the week of your last period, followed by the week before your ovulation, therefore, as soon as your egg is fertilized you are already 2 weeks pregnant!
You did not get a period while you were pregnant.
Roughly 1 to 12 weeks.
