In generation 2, gold, silver and crystal, shiny Pokemon had higher stats than regular colored ones. after that, shinies are identical but are just a different color. people like shinies because they are ridiculously rare. your chances of finding one are 1 in 8,192. any Pokemon can be shiny. without cheating , the best way to find one is forget they exist and just play the game. if you go on a shiny hunt, you will drive your self completely nuts

TaigaDo you have a shiny card? If you do, your VERY lucky!!! Shiny Pokemon cards are ALOT rarer (Sorry about my spelling) than normal cards. They are often stronger and are worth alot more. For example: I have a shiny Charizard and it is worth 100 to 200 dollars!!! One of its attacks does 150 damage!!! Shiny cards are marked by a star symbol on the older cards (NOT THE original 150, the newer ones, but not D/P) but are not marked by anything on the D/P cards. Shiny cards have a picture of a differently colored Pokemon on them. That is how you know a card is shiny.
