What ever you do, do not talk! that can permanently damage your vocal cords, take a hot shower the seam will help, drink plenty of fluids and avoid dairy product's, tea with honey and lemon will help try sucking on some peppermint candy that helped me for awhile, don't take aspirin that can make your throat bleed try gel pills their much easier to go down and will help with any drainage hope i can help it helped me a bit oh and if it still hurts after a week you have see a Doctor!

∙ 16y agoThis is common for singers I work with. I have the get a lime and ring out the juice and 2 2 teaspoons of honey and mix together and take it like a shot. Do not heat, it loses effect.

To my knowledge....yes and no. I have always been told not to. When you sleep the fan causes your throat to dry out becoming soar in the morning when you wake up. A regular soar throat is from a sickness, or putting your dirty fingers in your mouth. Same concept with the window left open.
