It's it safe to donate plasma and take niacin pills
I just went to donate plasma for the first time today and I am taking spironolactone. The doctor told me that spironolactone is a diuretic and thins your blood and so in conjunction with the blood thinners they use in the donation process, it is not safe to donate. So I will not be allowed to donate until 48 hours after I have stopped taking spironolactone.
Generally, donating plasma is safe, and an excellent activity for helping out others who can use the medications made from it.However, when donating plasma, you must take certain risk factors into consideration. One major issue for some people with donating plasma is dehydration. Most donation centers give you some saline back through an IV when donating, but that is not always enough to replenish the body's water levels.Another issue is that your plasma contains many substances that help fight infection. If you donate often, you run the risk of becoming sick more often. Also, if you are bothered by needles, there is a risk of fainting or passing out from fear, and also from volume displacement in your body.Yes, donating plasma is very safe. The plasma office will do a health check on you and if it isn't safe for you, then they will not allow you to donate.
Yes, it is safe.
Not for you personally (apart from a sense of pride, knowing you're helping others). The plasma donation you give can benefit more than one patient. I was donor for 30 years until I had to start taking daily medication, which now prevents me donating.
Yes if you are over 16 it is perfectly safe and fine.
It is safe to play in that you will not be hurt. There is a concern about picture burn in on some plasma TV screens and it is not restricted to whether it is a PS2 being played or from other situations
just donate money to help . just fill up a piggy bank and donate all coins in it.
I don't think you're supposed to when you're on antibiotics...other that that, I think you're safe. They'll let you know before you donate.
