Rainbow Dragon's card text has 3 parts; effects 2 and 3 can be used any time a Normal Trap could be activated (independantly or in response to actions other than Counter Traps, but not on the turn Rainbow Dragon was summoned): 1. You need 7 different "Crystal Beast" cards on your field and/or in your graveyard to special summon this card from your hand; you cannot summon it any other way. (This means you need to play or discard all seven crystal beasts; extra copies of the same beast don't count. Also, the Trap "Rainbow Gravity" overrides this effect.) 2. You can send all "Crystal Beast" monsters you control to the graveyard to increase this card's Attack by 1000 per card sent. (Crystal Beasts in your spell and trap zone are excluded from this.) 3. You can remove all "Crystal Beast" cards in your graveyard from play to return all cards on the field to the owners' decks. (You need at least one crystal beast in your graveyard to use this effect.) Think of Rainbow Dragon as a beatstick with a couple of Trap cards built in.
