Well it shouldn't brick your wii if you're doing the official update. Maybe if you shut the wii off during the update, but the update should just overwrite your previous update, or the homebrew channel if you have that installed depending on the version you're updating to.

What are the dangerous parts of the homebrew channel?

If you download a Wii System Update, it removes the Homebrew channel. Also, downloading it may "brick" your Wii, which makes it unusable.

You had homebrew channel 4.2 and you deleted it from your wii because you got bored with it First you deleted homebrew channel then you unistalled divx and bootmii.is your Wii safe from bricking now.?

No, if you uninstalled the Homebrew Channel and BootMii, there is very little that can help you if the Wii bricks due to a "full brick" from an update, etc. except for sending it in to Nintendo. Uninstalling the Homebrew Channel and BootMii will not brick your Wii, however.

How do you brick a Wii?

If "brick" means Break, don't break it. Sell it to gamestop and get 30$ in credit.Certain software not developed and condoned by Nintendo might brick this machine. To brick it would mean to actually update the internal software (bios) on the machine with an edited copy of this bios. Many people would want to update the Bios in order to play pirated games, but they seriously risk turning the Wii into something as useful as... a brick...Other methods of doing most the same... turning it into something as useful as a brick... could involve:Submerging it in salty water with power on. (Extremely efficient)Run over it with a car. (Would unfortunately not keep its brick shape, but otherwise efficient)Drill a hole straight through the device. (Quite efficient and you can even put a rope through it and use it as a weight when working out)Drop it from a tall bridge into a canyon. (Would unfortunately not keep its brick shape, but otherwise a real killer.)Other methods of bricking a Wii exists. Only your own imagination will be the limit to this.
