If you mean the green power light, perhaps the yellow/red standby light blew out?
If you're referring to the blue light in the disc tray, you can turn this off and on in your Wii settings.
>Wii Settings
>second page> WiiConnect24

I had the same problem. You have to do a synch with your second remote and the Wii console. The second remote has a synch button that you can see when you open the battery compartment. The synch button on the wii console is behind the SD slot door. Hit them simultaneously while in Toy Story Mania and the second remote will be recognized. After that, hit the small "+" button to play along with player 1.Here's a copy of the detailed syncing directions:Press the Power button to turn on the Wii console.Open the SD Card slot cover on the front of the Wii console.Remove the battery cover from the back of the Wii remote you wish to sync.Press and release the red SYNC button inside of the SD Card compartment on the Wii console.Press and release the red SYNC button below the batteries on the Wii remote. The syncing is complete when the blue LED on the Wii remote stops blinking
Turn on your PS3 by pressing the "power" button on the console itself. Then connect your controller via the charging cable. Finally, when on the XMB menu, press the PS button on your controller. Happy Gaming!
If the power light is green, the console is already on.If the power light is red or yellow, try using the power button on the console(as opposed to the power button on the remote). If the power light is black, the power might be out, it might be switched off at the mains, or it might not be plugged in properly.
Press the power button on the console, or if you have a Wii Remote connected to the console, the power button on the remote. The power button on the console is located to the top-left of the disk slot, and above the D-Pad on the remote.
If you want to add a remote, press the "set" button on the power unit until the green light blinks, then press the button on the remote. If you want the unit to forget all old codes and accept only the new remote, hold the "set" button until the green light stays on solid, then press the remote button.

There are currently no codes available for a Vivitek TV. The next step would be to power scan the remote. The steps are below! Power Scan to TV: 1.) With the TV on, press and hold the TV button (about six seconds) on top of the remote until all mode button backlights come on, then release. 2.) Press and release the red power button, then press the Up arrow button once a second while pointing the remote at the TV. If the code for the TV comes up, it will power off. 3.) When the power turns off, press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times. To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.
You can program the DISH Network remote without the remote code, this can be done by completing a Power scan. You should not have to program this remote.... although it says universal on it. This is an original remote and should work when you put the batteries in. For T.V viewing, just push the t.v button on the top of the remote then power/on-off .... wait for the light, then the sound, then begin with your normal activities.
