Actually, when the three systems (Wii, Playstation3, and XBox 360) emerged, the Wii was the lowest price among the three of them. However, the PS3 and Xbox360 apparently have less demand than the Wii, so they lowered their prices. There seems to still be a lot of demand for the Wii, so they aren't lowering their prices.
Regardless, get an Xbox360.
