the 5th gym leader is your dad so... after you beat him wally's dad should wanna give you something. So go to his house right next to the gym on the left and he gives you the hm surf. Teach one of your Pokemon surf ( you have to ) then go to maulville city, go right of the city, then use surf on the little river. \once you get on the other side there will be a patch of grass and a route of dirt. Go on the dirt and keep going until you get until fortree city.
