Start by going to Route 2. (You Must Have HM01 Cut to get this) It is located north of Viridian City and south of Pewter City. The easiest way is to come from Pewter City and use Cut on the nearby tree blocking the right path and then follow that path south until you reach a house. Not the first house but the second is where the HM05 is located. Get it from the professors aid. (You must have owned at least 10 Pokemon before he will give it to you)
