Then, go to cinnabar island and use rockclmb. You'll find a pokeball containing the item magmorizer. Equip this to any magmar, and then trade it. When the other person gets it, it will instantly evolve, then they trade it back to you, and you'll have your own Magmortar! Unless the other person says, no way! This Pokemon rules, I'm not giving it back! Then you lose. But, it's never happened to me.
