First, you have to have gotten all 16 badges (8 from johto, 8 from kanto. Kanto only available after you beat the elite four.) after this is done, go to prof. Oak and get the hm08 rockclimb. Then, go to cinnabar island and use rockclmb. You'll find a pokeball containing the item magmorizer. Equip this to any magmar, and then trade it. When the other person gets it, it will instantly evolve, then they trade it back to you, and you'll have your own Magmortar! Unless the other person says, no way! This Pokemon rules, I'm not giving it back! Then you lose. But, it's never happened to me.
