Nothing is supposed to happen, you're supposed to open the game yourself.
but nothing will pop up to let me install it!my computer acts as if it isn't even in the disc drive.
Maybe ur com does not have DVD-ROM
You need the Mac Sims 2 game, and then when you put into your computer, a little sims 2 disc will pop up. click on it. Then drag the Sims 2 app to your hard drive, and it will begin to install. Be sure you have the MAC disc or it will not work!
No is can't. You have to have the disc
If it is on a PC then insert the disc and wait for the auto-run box to come up and click on install. If it doesn't come up with the box the go on my computer and click on the sims 3. when the installation box comes up just follow the instructions. Sorry but I don't know what to to do a macintosh.
Mount the disc image file (.iso) of the game using magic iso, start with the first disc if there is more than one, then autorun should start. Magic iso is a virtual disc drive, so when using it treat the iso file like a real disc.
When you purchase The Sims 2 University its comes with 2 discs. Called the Expansion Pack. There is Disc One with a man on it and Disc two with a woman on it. If you try to put in disc one first it won't work because a message will pop up saying. (This product requires an installed copy of The Sims 2. Please install the Sims 2 before installing this product) Now that may seem confusing but not really. Insert Disc two. Press Open. After that you press Run As. It will run for a little while to write down all the saved files on your disc. If something goes wrong with the download press Retry. If that doesn't work then you might have to go through all of your files to check if any The Sims 2 games are saved. What might be causing to decline to download is probably because you have other saved files of The Sims 2. Please uninstall all of your The Sims 2 game files. Then try to download disc two again. It should work. If it works take out disc two and put in disc one with the man on it. Then press Next to that your English or Espanol. Then it should install. If that does not work then I'm not sure what will.
When you insert the CD for the expansion pack it will either tell you to insert the original disc or say nothing. If it says nothing then it means that you do not need the original disc. The Sims 2 saves in your hard drive, not the CD, so all of the previous information stays.

Try clicking on the Start button, clicking "Computer" or "My Computer", you should see the Sims 3 icon now, right-click & choose "Install or Run".
if your laptop does not have anyplace to put the CD, then you have to buy an external drive for it. so basically an attachable disk drive in order to play the game.
The sims two disc i think it is The sims two disc i think it is
You need the orignal sims 2 disc!
Nothing. All of the data from your friend's game is saved on their computer/console hard drive, not on the disc itself. You can use their disk on your computer/console without interfering with your friend's game
The sims ambitions will find the oringinal disc if still loaded on your PC
No is can't. You have to have the disc
just insert the sims 3 world advenetures disc and download it like the regular sims 3 disc.
You acually need to put in the disc, the sims 2, the sims 2 double deluxe, the sims 2 deluxe, or the sims 2 holiday edition to play.
well, you need to have the regular sims 3 disc installed already to play sims 3 world adventure, but u need the sims 3 world adventure disc to play that expansion pack. Unless you've downloaded it from the EA store, you don't get the disc and it still works, you pay with a credit card.
