When a monster triggers A Hero Emerges is the monsters attack negated or does the attack continue and attack the monster that is summoned?

When a potential attack target appears or disappears, a 'replay' is caused. The attacking monster may continue its attack, against a new target if it wishes. Or it may discontinue its attack and forfeit attacking for that turn.

Otherwise, you can't do it, cards like A Hero Emerges, or Monster Gate, cannot special summon a Ritual Monster.Also if you summon the Ritual Monster properly, by Ritual Summon, and it is then sent to the graveyard for whatever reason, then you may bring it back to the field using cards like Monster Reborn. However you cannot simply discard a Ritual Monster from hand and try using Monster Reborn straight away, they are a form of special summon only monster, simply by being Ritual Monsters.

To make the best chao possible you would first need to evolve it through many lifetimes, leveling up a stat for each lifetime until all stats are S. ( When your chao evolves one of it's stat ranks increases. For example if your chao's run ability has a rank of B it will have rank A when it emerges from the cocoon) When you have an all S chao you could make it a chaos chao to get as much time as you want to increase it's stats, as a chaos chao doesn't die with age. Making it a chaos chao is probably not mandatory though. The stats of a chao with an S rank on all stats grow faster, so this is why the ranks need to be increased. When you have a chaos chao with all S ranks all you need to do is keep giving it tubes and animals until all of it's abilities are level 99. I don't know if they will reach 9999 but that would be the best chao possible.

If a monster has special summon requirements (can only be special summoned by, cannot be special summoned except by) then these are the only way the monster can initially reach the field. This cannot be overridden, if the monsters are hit by A Hero Emerges, they can't be summoned by it.

Herald of Perfection is a Ritual Monster. Ritual Monsters can never be normal summoned or Set. Herald of Perfection in fact clearly states it can 'only be Ritual Summoned', so that alone means no Normal Summoning, and no Special Summoning initially by other effects like 'A Hero Emerges'.

No, not at all. When the defending player summons a monster after an attack has been declared, a 'replay' occurs. The attacking monster has to choose whether to continue its attack or discontinue it altogether and forfeit its attack that turn. If it continues the attack, it can be against a different target. If the monster was making a direct attack, and a stronger monster was summoned, then the attacker will most likely discontinue his attack. He can't continue as a direct attack, but is not forced to attack the newly summoned monster either.

Otherwise the only thing you can do is find a way to return them to hand and summon them with their Ritual Spell card.
