Try not to teach Latias or Latios physical attack moves, since both Eon Pokémon have higher special than physical stats. Either Pokémon should hold a Choice Specs (+ special moves by 50%, but allows only that move to be used until the Pokémon is switched out), since it only specializes in special moves.
When choosing Latias' moveset, also consider covering its weaknesses:
Ice, Ghost, Dark, Dragon, Steel, Bug.

There is actually a few things you can do after beating the elite four on Pokemon Emerald Version. First, you should go all around Hoenn and listen to the people who have heard of your outstanding achievement of defeating the Elite Four the the Champion. Then, the next time you see Scott, he will bring you to a place called the Battle Frontier. There are 14 more badges to get over here (or is it 16?). WARNING!! Defeating the Battle Frontier will take you an extremely long time and WILL be frustrating. Just keep on battling and you will do it.

Next, buy some max repels, put a level 30 Pokemon at the front of your party, put apokemon with sweet scent in your party, and go to a very grassy area. If you use a max repel and sweet scent, you should be able to get you lati! (Note: you must have a master ball to catch lati.)If you wish to find a Latias or Latios you have to migrate them from one of the three GBA saphire, Emerald, or Ruby.
