Best means different things to different people. Technologically the Wii is not as capable as the Xbox 360 and PS3. The Wii U when it comes out could make up for many shortcomings of the Wii. Wii was designed to not be as capable and able to sell for less, but improvements and cost and price reductions to the PS3 make it a much better purchase for the money than when it was released.
Well let us look at the facts.
Wii has sold over 90 million consoles as of Sept. 2011 actually only 89 million by the end of September 2011
Xbox 360 has sold over 57 million consoles as of Sept. 2011
PS3 has sold over 51 million as of Sept. 2011 actually it was more more and 63.9 million by March 31 2012
Wii wins in this category.
Wii has larger variety of games, but a majority are child or family games were made ever since 2009. Before that they were awesome!
Xbox 360 has mostly shooters and RPG's.
PS3 has mostly shooters and racing games.
Again the Wii wins.
