The Multiplayer in Modern Warfare 2 is similar, but there are added parts here and there e.g Capture The Flag, and Create a Class. But the multiplayer in Modern Warfare 2 is P2P so there is a lot of lag. In my opinion, both are great, if you like Multiplayer then buy Modern Warfare, If you like Campaign than buy MW2. Im a huge fan on the Call of Duty Series especially Call of Duty 4 Modern warfare, but i say Modern Warfare is a good game that does live up to some of the hype about it, but from my point of view i do see it as an overrated game, the graphics aren't even that different from the first modern warfare its just an extra few guns and game modes that they have take the dedicated server away. Also many things such as bullet lag, care package glitch and javelin glitch which were never tested before released, and had to be patched after release.
