The only respectable Flip Effect Deck that could match the current Metagame Decks of that time was the "Emptying Jar" strategy.
This composed of the two key cards: Morphing Jar and Cyber Jar. The player would continually recycle the effects of these two cards with other cards like The Shallow Graveor Book of Moon. Then, in the same turn, they would flip them back up with effects like Desert Sunlight and Book of Taiyou.
When continually working this cycle, the opponent would eventually run out of cards. The player would then end his turn and his opponent, unable to Draw during his Draw Phase, would automatically concede victory to the player. This Deck was severely weakened with the banning of Cyber Jar, now only having Morphing Jar to depend on.

No, flip effect activate when the card is flipped, which will be by Flip Summon, or being attacked, or flipped by an effect. Simply being destroyed while face down, will not 'flip' the monster.
Senju of the Thousand HandsLIGHT/Fairy/Effect/4When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned, you can select 1 Ritual Monster Card from your Deck and add it to your hand. Then shuffle your Deck.Manju of the Ten Thousand HandsLIGHT/Fairy/Effect/4When this card is Normal Summoned or Flip Summoned, you can add 1 Ritual Monster Card or 1 Ritual Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
oh, this is one of my favorite cards! if you flip summon it, you can destroy one monster, then you can flip it face down again so you can do it again next turn. its realy good in an earth deck like mine! but i is not like man eater bug. you have to flip it, not have a monster attack it. its not a flip effect monster. -lone wolf
The Flip Effect itself is a Trigger, an activation of a monster effect. Herald of Perfection cannot negate the summon itself, but can chain to and negate the actual Flip Effect trigger.
Destroying a monster does not flip it. But if a monster is flipped face-up when attacked, and considered destroyed by battle, then the flip effect will still activate.
