Destroying a monster does not flip it. But if a monster is flipped face-up when attacked, and considered destroyed by battle, then the flip effect will still activate.

The damage step will go - flip the defending monster, compare ATK and DEF, activate and resolve the flip effect (regardless of whether the monster is considered destroyed by battle bay a stronger attacker) then if the flip monster was considered destroyed, now it actually goes to the graveyard.

This depends on the specific monster and its abilities. If a monster's summon is negated and the monster destroyed, it is likely that its effect was never able to be activated in the first place. In this case, its effect would never have applied

If the face-down monster is tributed, then no, any Flip Effects it has will not activate. Under normal conditions therefore, you should flip the monster first, allow the effect to activate/resolve, then tribute the monster for whatever. But you are out of luck if your face-down Flip Effect monster is tributed by the opponent using Soul Exchange, for example. Because it never 'Flips' (even though it goes to the graveyard face up) the effect will not activate.
