You can actually use any of them. I caught mine with a pokeball, But it is better if you have a greatball or an ultraball. If you want to catch it without fail, use a masterball, but I usually save it for mewtwo.
I agree. Anything except master, but for others it's almost impossible to catch it unless its got a status problem and not a lot of hp.
I also agree because of the fact that you can catch mewtwo in that game. Mewtwo is more worth using the master ball on than articuno zapdos and moltres are. In Platinum Diamond and Pearl however I'd say yeah go ahead and use your master ball. If you have another DS and game than play through the other game until Cyrus gives you the master ball give it to one of your Pokemon then trade it to Diamond/Pearl/Platinum and to get another master ball you'll have to delete the game you TRADED FROM (don't accidentally delete the game you want to catch articuno/zapdos/moltres in) and do what I said over again until you've caught all three (unless you win won at Jublife).
