You can catch nearly anyone Pokemon in there (apart from starters and legendaries).
You just use the object arrangement thing to move the locations around, and then just look through the grass.

How do you catch gible in HG without going to safari zone. i heard you can catch it under cycling path but where is it and if it isn't there do you really have to wait 100 days in safari zone?
I don't know about the cycling path but you can eather use the safari zone (with you don't want to do), trade from another game (like diamon and pearl), or catch a gabite on victory road. Hope this helps. Have fun!

Go into the safari first. They should have finished constructing an area where there are SOME Pokemon in the Kanto region. If not, tough luvk, so you're gonna have to wait for awhile until they finsihed it (i defeated the Elite Four and the Champ, and then the safari section opened. you may have to defeat the Elite Four if you want a Houdour). If they did finish the section, walk around and from luck, you'll run into a Houndour eventually.
