First of all, you can treat it terribly by not feeding it and making sure it does not get what it needs. If it is a child or teenager, this will kill them. If it is a baby or toddler, it won't. The social worker will come and take them away.
A much easier and less tragic method is to:
1. Press Ctrl+shift+c
2. Type in: testingcheatsenabled true
This will unlock TONS of cheats and enable you to use them when set to true. They will not be able to be used when set to false.
3. Go to your mailbox and shift+click.
4. Here you will see tons of options such as set career (where you can choose any career you want at any level), force NPC (where you can force things like burgalurs, Pizza men and women,etc.) and many more.
5.Shift+click again.
6. There should be an option that says "object:delete it". this means that you can now do step no. 7!
7. Shift+click the child you wish to terminate. Click on "object:delete it" and the child will instatly vanish. You can also do this with furniture, food, you can evendelete your mailbox (which isn't a good idea)!
