By using cheats, you have two options.
Option One:
- hold [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [C]
- in the bar that appears, type UnlockCareerRewards (just like that, no spaces)
- press enter and it will unlock all the career rewards.
Option Two:

- in the bar that appears, type boolprop testingcheatsenabled true (with spaces after "prop" and "enabled")
- Find a fresh newspaper, hold [Shift] and click on the newspaper.
- Click "Career Rewards" and choose the one that you want.
The way without cheats is by advancing through the ranks of the jobs. Get a job by going to the newspaper. Then, go to your Skill panel. If there's a blue circle around a skill (for example, Body) that your sim doesn't have, then he or she will have to build body. If your sim doesn't miss work and has all of the skills right, then he or she will get a promotion eventually. Once the sim reaches level 5 or level 6, he or she should be able to get a career reward (go to Rewards, then to Career Rewards, then click on the reward that isn't greyed out and place it).
