My xbox 360 gets an E 74 error when i turn it on with my video cable plugged in how are you supposed to fix this?

shoot it with a shotgun. just kidding call Microsoft and send it in if its under warranty if its not their is alot of fix it your self guides on the internet but i havent been able to get any to work for good yet. they all just work for a day or so and then right back to the e74.

Why doesn't my Sony PS3 work on an AV cable?
It could be that you don't have the cable plugged into the correct spot on your TV. If you are using the AV cable that came with the PS3 and not a Component PS3 cable 2 of the RCA plugs go for sound and only one is for Video. The AV cable that came with the PS3 is not for a HDTV connection and the settings need to be corrected. While you said you changed houses you must have also changed TV's or you would not have needed to switch from HDMI. If your new TV is an HDTV then you need to purchase a PS3 component cable if it doesn't have HDMI plugs and if not you need to change your settings on the PS3. Hi, I faced the same problem and solved it using the s-video cable. The dell d610 has an s-video output and speaker output ports. now i am going to try and make this as simple as possible. buy an s-video cable. this cable will have a black 8-pin plug at one end(that goes into your laptop's s-video port) and the other end of the cable is a component video cable(yellow in color and is plugged into your tv). Now this is just for the video output. you need another cable has audio jack on one end(that goes into your laptops stereo headphone/speakers connector) and on the other end has two tv component video cables(1 red and 1 white). connect all these cables(i am sure you will figure out which cable goes where....) and open up your ati console and go to the tv settings. the rest is pretty simple. regards Shahnab Gillani

you will need to change the tv channel out put and maybe check system settings on ps3 for audio/video out.
